800g Javelin

800g javelins are the standard men's weight thrown in high school, college, and professional competitions. USATF youth and Masters use lighter javelins such as 700g or the FinnFlier. Our entire line of javelins weighing 800g can be found here.

This is our guide for choosing a javelin. Our recommendations are based on safety just as much as they are for optimal performance. The higher rated distance javelins may seem like a good route for throwing the farthest, but without proper preparation the stiffer javelin may cause pain or discomfort in the throwing arm.
