01. SUIT UP.

Put on your best Halloween costume. Go solo or bring your entire throwing squad.

02. THROW.

Film a discus, javelin, shot put, or hammer throw in a safe throwing area.

03. POST IT.

Upload your entry as an Instagram Reel or TikTok video from a public account between October 16 and October 29, 2026.

04. TAG IT.

Include both hashtags #TrickorThrow and #4throws, and tag @4throws in your post. Follow @4throws so we can contact you if you win.

SECTION 6 — THROW SAFE

Costumes are for fun. Safety isn't optional.

We want creative costumes and memorable throws—not preventable injuries.

• Throw only in a designated throwing circle, cage, or open field.

• Make sure nobody is in the landing area.

• Ensure your costume does not interfere with your footwork, balance, or release.

• Do not attempt a throw if your costume or surroundings make it unsafe.

Entries showing unsafe throwing will not be judged.

SECTION 9 — FAQ

Do I have to buy anything to enter?

No. The contest is free, and no purchase is necessary. You can use any throwing implement, from any brand.

Can I enter more than once?

Yes. You can submit multiple eligible entries, and each post is judged separately. However, each person can win only one prize.

Can I post a photo instead of a video?

No. Entries must be submitted as an Instagram Reel or TikTok video so the judges can see the throw.

Can I enter with a private account?

No. Your account must be public so the judges can access your entry during the contest.

Can athletes under 18 enter?

Yes, provided they are at least 13 and reside in the United States. Winners under 18 need parent or legal guardian consent before their prize can be sent.

How are the winners selected?

A panel of judges scores eligible entries based on costume creativity and Halloween spirit, the throw, video quality and storytelling, and how well the entry fits #TrickorThrow. Likes, views, and comments do not determine the winners.

Will 4Throws repost my entry?

We'd love to feature great entries. We'll ask for permission through direct message and credit your account before reposting. Separate written permission is required for paid advertising.

When will I receive my cap and discount code?

Winners will be contacted on October 30. Reply with your required details by November 2, and your cap and discount code will be sent by November 8.

Who can enter?

Legal residents of the United States who are 13 or older at the time of entry. Additional eligibility requirements and restrictions are detailed in the Official Rules.

SECTION 11 — OFFICIAL RULES

#TrickorThrow Costume Contest: Official Rules

Sponsor: 4Throws LLC.

Contest period: October 16, 2026, at 12:00 AM ET through October 29, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.

Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the United States who are 13 or older at the time of entry. Entrants under 18 must obtain parent or legal guardian consent to accept a prize.

How to enter: Publish an original video of yourself or your team performing a discus, javelin, shot put, or hammer throw while wearing a Halloween costume. Submit the entry as an Instagram Reel or TikTok video from a public account during the contest period. Include #TrickorThrow and #4throws and tag @4throws.

Entry limits: Multiple entries are allowed, but each entrant can win only one prize. No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and purchasing does not improve the chances of winning.

Judging: Eligible entries will be scored by a panel of judges. Costume creativity and Halloween spirit count for 40 points, the throw for 30 points, video quality and storytelling for 20 points, and fit with #TrickorThrow for 10 points. Likes, views, and comments do not count toward judging scores.

Categories and prizes: Two winners will be selected in each of four categories: Best Costume Throw, Best Squad, Scariest Blooper, and Coach's Pick. Each winner receives one 4Throws cap shipped free to a US address and one personal 15% discount code valid at 4throws.com through December 31, 2027, at 11:59 PM ET. Codes are reusable until expiration, non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be combined with bundle savings, flash sale prices, or other offers. For a Best Squad win, the prize goes to the account that posted the entry.

Winner notification: Winners will be announced on @4throws on October 30, 2026, and contacted by direct message. Winners must respond by November 2, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET with an email address, US shipping address, and any required guardian consent. If a winner does not respond in time, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next-highest-scoring eligible entry in that category.

Entry ownership and permissions: Entries must be the entrant's own work, and permission must be obtained from everyone shown. By entering, participants permit 4Throws to repost their entries on its social media, website, and emails with credit to their account. Separate written permission is required for paid advertising.

Safety and disqualification: Entries that are unsafe, offensive, infringe others' rights, or fail the entry requirements may be disqualified.
