What does rim weight mean?
Rim weight is the percentage of the discus weight concentrated toward the outside rim. It affects how much spin the discus needs, how stable it feels and how much distance it can create.
- Low Spin / 70%: easier to control, ideal for beginners and high school throwers.
- Medium Spin / 75%: more distance potential without giving up control.
- High Spin / 83%: for intermediate to advanced throwers with faster rotation.
- Super Spin / 85%: for advanced and elite throwers chasing maximum distance.
